The French dislike themselves even more than the Americans dislike them, according to an opinion poll published on Friday. The survey of six nations, carried out for the International Herald Tribune daily and France 24 TV station, said 44 percent of French people thought badly of themselves.

The media should stop referring to the viral marketing campaign as a terrorist hoax, because it wasn't. And all these politicians and reporters who are embarrassed now that it's clear they overreacted should also stop trying so hard to put this all at Turner's feet. Turner and [adult swim] have nothing to apologize for, but the hysterical media do.
